Freewill is personal data sovereignty software — a context system that gives you structured control over how AI models understand and interact with your data, identity, and boundaries.

Two editions are available: Seed is a single file that works in any AI model, any tier. Sapling is the full modular system with security-hardened architecture for users with file tool access.

Both editions are free, open source, and independently verifiable.

Getting Started

  1. Download the file above, or copy the text from the file browser below.
  2. Open any AI conversation — Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or any model. Free tier works.
  3. Paste or attach the file as your first message. The system will read it and begin a session.
  4. Talk. Freewill learns who you are through conversation. Context builds over time — there is nothing to configure.

Your data stays in your conversations. Freewill has no server, no account, no telemetry. The file is the entire system.

For sensitive research: verify the file hash before use (see below). Use a fresh conversation. Do not paste sensitive data into shared or public AI sessions.

Verify Your Files

Freewill files are served from two independent sources. Verify integrity by comparing hashes from both:
